Our weights are made to be added and removed from most standard weight belts. Diving belts can loop through the back side. The back of our weights are certainly not as pretty or a colourful as the front as they only have the base colour used throughout the weight but they are hand sanded till they are smooth and won’t rough up your wetsuits or tails. Video near the bottom of the page.

Weights are best stored flat and preferably not on top of each other if they are going to be moved around often. We keep our personal weights in a fabric bag which is folded over so they don’t rub once they have been cleaned and are dry. Please keep your weights out of prolonged sun exposure (and by prolonged we mean days). Your weights do have a protective UV resistant coat to help but over time it may discolour the top coat.

Our weights are made with resin so they are hard.

When you have finished wearing them in any kind of water please thoroughly rinse them with fresh water and let them dry completely, making sure the area where the belt goes through is also dry. Weight may be susceptible to scrapes if they are dropped or scrapped against a rough surface. They all have 3 topcoats to help with this but they are not indestructible.

Our weights are made to suit most types of belts including nylon and rubber. We made our weights to suit a specific belt type and a weight made for a nylon belt may not be able to fit a rubber belt.

This is mostly personal preference and the kind of diving you do. The most common belt types are the nylon and the rubber/silicone belt. We personally use a silicone belt from Kiwa Dive. But check out your local dive shops as well.

If you have a single coloured weight if its only the top coat then clear nailpolish or a thin coat of clear epoxy will fix the finish. If the scratch has hit the colour for single colour weights the colour of the resin itself should be fine with a clear coat of the above. But if your weights is multi coloured, the colour underneath will not match each colour on the weight itself, then you can either use a thin layer of a similar coloured acrylic paint or nailpolish then cover the scratched area with a clear epoxy or clear nailpolish but we cannot guarantee that this will last long term, so we do not know how this will be effected in the long run

Weight creation can take 4-20 weeks depending on the style and design you choose, and how many orders are currently in the queue. We will be in contact with you throughout the design and creation process.

Pre-made weight can take 5-10 days before shipping depending where you land in our shipping schedule, we work full time so getting to the post office when it is open is sometimes difficult.
